Jingle Busy

Merry Christmas to everyone who visits our blog.
Sorry it's been a while since we last posted what we've been up to. It's been hectic in the lead up to Christmas, but we're here now and Santa's almost on his way.

We had fun night out on our Christmas Party over in the Christmas Market and out in Belfast. Michael soon had shiny lips and that grin on his face.

Colin was away last week and we now call him Judith Chalmers due to the amount of holidays he has!!!

It's been a great start for us, and we look forward to what 2009 is going to bring (Sean's  thinking ...'hopefully new music' as Colin plays John Denver - yes i just said John Denver).

So Merry Christmas to all our Followers.
We look forward to working with you all in the new year!!!

Christmas Cheer.

We've just sent out our calender for next year - if you want one email us with your address and we'll put one in the post to you: info@yellowbrickrd.co.uk

NEW RECORD HOLDER

Contact the Guinness Book of Records, there's a new kid in Town for the fastest up the stairs. After David Cleland and Sam Sharpe matched one another at 13seconds in the war of the printers. Ricky Armstrong of Paradigm has bounded into first place knocking one second off the record and taking the numbero uno spot from Tim - Well done Ricky, showing us all that the shorter challengers can compete!

Placings:
No.: 1 R. Armstrong 11 seconds
No.: 2 T. Bryans 12 seconds
Joint 3rd: D. Cleland & S. Sharpe 13 seconds.

Good Times!

The Thora Hird stair times are in and the scores from the door are as follows:

Tim Bryans: 12 sec
David Cleland:  15 sec
Iain Neil: 16 sec
Sam Sharpe: 21 sec
Bill Hichens: 32 sec
Davy Heinz: 4 mins 36 sec

We think Heinzy stopped to talk to someone half way up and that Iain Neil 'should do better' if he stops eating so many biscuits.

Photos as promised

We've been having some fun with some of the pictures we took when we were setting up YBR. Have a look,.... hope you enjoy, and remember you're always welcome at Yellow Brick Road.
See you soon.

Back again!

Tender, Tender, Tender!
The industry has gone tender mad -which is a great thing.
Recently we have also been talking with a charity and are hoping to build a relationship with them (we'll keep you posted).

Colin has been working away some brand development for a company called PIA (it's all very hush hush!) Sean is working on Kingspan Solar....which amazingly works even in this terrible Irish weather.

We are also busy designing the interior of a new dojo for Peninsula Martial Arts, and coming up with ideas of how to extend the brand . All very exciting and we're getting to work with one of our favourite and one of most talented illustrators Mark Reihill (markreihill.com) in developing characters to dress the walls of the new gym.

We got our bright yellow sign up outside, so now everyone on the Belfast AYYYYEEEEE or Belfast Wheel can see us on the Square and we got the signage finished inside (pictures to follow)

People have been coming and going - Heinzy called in and had a coffee.
Tim Bryans still holds the fastest time on the stair climb, though Davy Cleland is pushing him hard. If you want a shot at the title, a coffee or to talk to us about how we can help you pop in and say hello.

later.

Yellow Brick Road is a creative communications agency focused on delivering effective advertising and compelling design. The agency was founded by Colin Maguire, Michael Keenan and Sean Hutcheson in July 2008.

The idea was to create a creative hub where clients get to work directly with the people who create the work. To remove the suits and accountants and let creativity lead the way.

Why? Well because we believe that advertising and design must engage with people to make them react. Nobody has the time or inclination to translate complicated pieces of communication, and no one is interested in boring, poorly designed adverts. That's why our motto is:

''Be creative and keep it simple."

It took us a while to come up with, but simplicity always does. It's far too easy to complicate.
